While these games can be fun and exciting, they are also full of drunks! I think it is funny that a sport can unite so many people. When I stand looking out at the crowd of Bears fans, I am baffled. I am also baffled to see men and women purchasing their 5th 16oz beer of the day at noon. These are no ordinary beers, they have to be special because the people are paying 6 bucks a beer to get hammered mid day. It is amazing what alcohol can do to people. Grown men hit on 18 year old girls, adults puke from being drunk, Bears fans walking around yelling "bears suck," and random agression is taken out due to being drunk. I watched one man buy a bears hat (which I think it ironic that football teams logos ar printed on baseball caps), then he proceeded to walk up to me. I was thinking that he was going to ask for directions or where the nearest beer vendor was...I was wrong. He was highly intoxicated and was trying to hand me a pen. I didn't get it. He then managed to slur out "please sign my hat." I told him I would rather not. Then he got a tad agressive and asked again, so I signed it and he went away. I am guessing when he sobers up, he will look at his hat and say "Who the hell is Jill Jeter?" Hopefully he doesn't google me. On the way out of the game, after passing two puddles of puke, we end up walking behind a man who is bloody and in hand cuffs. The police are asking how the fight started. Oddly enough, he has no idea...all he knows is that man spilled beer on him and kicked him in the nuts. Well what do you know, a fight over spilt beer...the drunk man must have wanted to savor his last cup before he drunkly stumbled to his car and driving home. I guess there really isn't some huge point of this story, other than to just share my lovely Bears game experience.

The long awaited update!

So I have been gone from home for a month now, but of course, it seems like forever. After getting use to religion classes and going to chapel every day, I would have to say I am truly enjoying myself. I am not just saying this to put everyone at ease, I have met lots of new people and like all of my classes. I have had a bit of a dissapointment though. The very first paper I wrote I got a B-...but the highest grade in the class was a B so I guess I didn't do too shabby. On the first test that I took in Intro to Bible Study I got a good solid "B" so I guess I can't complain. I would love to take this opportunity to say that high school is the most worthless thing ever. In no way did high school prepare me for the hard work, focus, and intelligence that college requires. The measely 45 minutes of homework every other night in high school is nothing compared to the 3 or more hours of homework and required reading that I do every single night. The odd thing is, when the day is over I actually feel a sense of accomplishment. Despite missing home a ton, the decision to come here has been one of the best things I have ever done. I feel like the education I am going to get here will take me farther than I had orginially projected. Oh yes, I can remember one thing that has really gotten under my skin since I have been here. In my Faith and Learning class, I asked my teacher a question about creation that she didn't quite know how to handle or answer. So her response was " I believe that in time
God will reveal the answer that you are looking for. I don't feel like I can answer your question properly, but When you get to heaven you can ask God for yourself." Oh my gosh...how easy is it to say that. She would have been better off just saying "I don't know." If God will reveal it to me in time, I guess that could apply for all questions. Why even have a teacher for the class if all of our questions can be answered through God? Well, whatever. It is time for me to start homework.
Prowlin out
JAG

My Classes!

Since classes will now be a very big part of my life, I thought it would be good to post them so that everyone will know what I am up to...everyone meaning Donnie and Molly because they are the only people that ever read my blog! haha. So, I have Adolescent Literature, Intro to Psych, Communication arts, Make your life a masterpiece, Intro to the Old Testament, and expository writing. I am majoring in secondary education with a focus in english. Yep, I am going to be an English Teacher! I am really excited about my faith and learning class called "Make Your Life a Masterpiece." Now I know it sounds soooo cheesy but Let me explain. It is about finding your strengths and weaknesses and applying them to the greater plan that god has for you. I have never been one who is into god or the whole church scene but really I am very interested in this class. Classes start on Tuesday, wish me luck!

so here I am, at college. It is not at all what I expected thus far, however school has not started yet so I still am a bit unsure what to expect. Everyone is so so friendly...maybe even a little too friendly? hmmm...I am not saying it is a bad thing, it has just caught me a bit off guard. I expected a lot of hustle and bustle and no one really having much time for "hello's." The other odd thing is that myspace is blocked and just to go a step further, pac man is also on the no go list. I guess that is just what I get for coming to a small school. My roommate is great. We are a lot alike which seems to be working out...and no I am not declaring that since we are alike I am really great. What else can I talk about? My appt. with my advisor is on Friday morning and we start classes on Tuesday, I guess I will probably have more to talk about then.

Prowling out,
Jag

P.s. My sister and I took a bike ride, but no it was not just any normal bikeride, it was glorious! While hanging out at my Aunt Sheila's house, whom we only see once in a blue moon (unfortunately), our Uncle Burt offered us to ride his bike down the street because we were getting a little bit bored. We took him up on it. Little did we know it was a three wheeler with a small 3 by 3 trailer hooked on the back. Molly and I slowly got the hang of it after she finally fit her ass into the very small space provided in the trailer behind the bike. My was this fun and great exercise. However we did run into problems such as the possibility of the trailer tipping, and me trying to pedal uphill with Molly and the trailer behind me. All in all it was great fun and I got to experience something new which was important. Yay for three wheelers and their trailers!!!!!!

Jag is my name and prowling/blogging is my game!

What's in a name? Well, you may be asking yourself, "Why is this girl proclaiming herself Jag?" The truth of the matter is, I didn't make it up! When my sister(Molly) and I were just young cherubs we thought that we needed nicknames. I called her babs (I dunno why) and she called me Jaguar(she doesn't know why) which eventually was shortened to Jag by Donnie and Scott. I also don't know why my nickname would be named after one of the world's fastest animals seeing I am a bit chunky and very slow! But hey I guess there is just more of me to love. Okay, shut up...I just tell myself that! Your next question is "Well why is she on the prowl?" For one thing, this blogspot started when I was trapsing across the great promiseland known as the United States. We are in search of Chicago where I will be attending college. I say prowling because we have been through Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahomas, Arkansas, Tenessee, Missouri, and finally we are in Illinois. We took this odd seeming route because we vacationed in Las Vegas, visited my Great Aunt Ruby in Arkansas, and also saw Auntie Sheila in Southern Illinois. So not only did I prowl the U.S. I will also be prowling around Oprah Studios, the Bears games, the Cubs games, skyscrapers, and the hot dog stands that are on every corner. So here I go with a new start, a new blog, and a freekin awesome new city! WISH ME LUCK!

Prowlin' Out,

JAGUAR.
